Eric Hansen
Chief Information Officer
Eric Hansen joined L.M. Dulye & Co. as chief information officer and special consultant in Social Media and Online Communications at a time when technology is transforming many internal communication and employee engagement practices. Eric oversees all technology infrastructure for the firm, as well as its measurement division.
He brings online experience to the firm from work experiences at Edelman Public Relations, the largest independent public relations firm in the world, where he became the go-to resource for online media strategy at the Sacramento, CA office.
Eric is an adjunct professor at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University where he teaches a course of his own design on how the Internet and social technologies are evolving the necessary skills to successfully lead an organization. His teaching and outreach activities also include volunteering at local elementary schools in Champaign County and a position as faculty member for the Dulye Leadership Experience where he speaks on how college graduates can thrive in the current work environment.
Eric is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the School of Information Studies. His studies included public relations and information technology. During his undergraduate studies, he developed and delivered a 6-session workshop on using new media in public relations and communications strategy, the Newhouse New Media Series. For this service, Eric received the Dean’s Service Award and Public Relations Department Leadership Award. Additionally, in recognition of his scholastic and community service achievements, Eric was named Syracuse University Scholar and Newhouse Scholar for the class of 2007.
In his free time, Eric is a new husband and passionate jazz drummer/enthusiast. His wife, Robin, is a student at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. They have two cats (rescued) and live in Champaign, Illinois—far from Northern California’s Sonoma County where they both grew up.
